Alozie Hails Super Okagbare

Former 100 metres hurdles champions, Gloria Alozie has showered encomium on Commonwealth sprint doubles champion, Blessing Okagbare for her  exploits at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The Nigerian-born Spanish sprinter expressed her delight at seeing Okagbare winning both 100 and 200 metres ahead of the Jamaicans, stressing that the world should expect more from the Delta-state born athlete.

“Congrats my dear, I’m so proud of you. This is just the beginning of your exploits because I believe so much in what you can do. May the almighty God continue to strengthen you,” she said.

The 25-year-old was in complete control of the final as her blistering speed took her away from the rest of the field and ensured she finished in a time of 22.25 seconds to win her second gold medal in Glasgow.
