Chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that Lyon will not entertain the idea of selling Memphis Depay in the January transfer window.
The 24-year-old Netherlands international has resurrected his career in France’s Ligue 1 since departing Manchester United for Lyon in January 2017 and he has scored five goals and added seven assists in the league this season.

Memphis’ form has alerted several clubs from across Europe, but Aulas is adamant that the player and the club’s other star men are going nowhere next month.
He told RMC Sport: “We will not let our star player go in January, we also want to keep Memphis for as long as possible.
“It is true that he has received concrete offers, somewhere deep inside I think he wants to stay at Lyon and wants to grow with this club to a higher level, which makes it easier for him to stay.
“In the summer there were a number of large, concrete offers. For Memphis, there is always interest, but it was not exactly what he was looking for. Lyon does not let him just go of course.”Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
