Alves back in training

Veteran defender Dani Alves has boosted Paris Saint Germain by training for the first time in six months after a knee injury. The 35-year-old picked up the problem in the French Cup final against Les Herbiers on May 8 and was forced to miss the World Cup and pre-season with PSG.
It is unclear when he will be fit enough to resume his playing career but reports in the French media claim the Brazilian was back out on the training pitch on Wednesday morning with his team-mates.
The Parisians have not suffered in the South American’s absence, winning all 11 of their Ligue 1 games this term to sit top of the standings by eight points from Lille.
Alves’ return would be welcomed, however, as the former Barcelona and Juventus man can still operate at a high level despite his advancing years.
