Amaju Pannick Is New NFF Boss

Amaju Pinnick from Delta State has emerged as the new  President of the Nigeria Football Federation after the Electoral Congress that was held in Warri, Delta State voted him in Tuesday afternoon.

Elections started two hours behind schedule as most delegates failed to show up on time  at the Golden Tulip Hotels.

After the count of votes which was concluded at 3.36 pm, Amaju secured 25 votes to come tops ahead of Taiwo Ogunjobi who garnered nine votes. Dominic Iorfa had six votes, Amanze Uchegbulam had four votes while the duo of Mike Umeh and Abba Yola had no votes.

However, there was no clear winner. 29 votes needed to get two-thirds majority forcing the elections to go into a re-run which Amaju claimed by Simple Majority.

Amaju had 32 votes while Dominic Iorfa from Benue State only had eight votes. Coming third was Taiwo Ogunjobi from Osun State who claimed just four votes on Tuesday.

There was drama aplenty at the election venue as one of the contestants, Dominic Iorfa had claimed that the election had been decided beforehand and went on to produce what was the ‘outcome’ of the polls.

The Electoral Committee stated that absentee candidates would be taken off the ballot and it was this rule that disqualified Shehu Dikko who could not make it to Warri.

Meanwhile, Sheyi Akinwunmi from Lagos State is the new 1st Vice President of the new NFF board.

  • The Minister and Ke$hi’s handpicked candidate. When the wicked “flourish”, they imagine that their prayers are answered. But they will perish totally in the end as their eternal disgrace and shame shall never be forgotten.

    Congrats Mr. Amaju Pannick

Please we the Supporters of Nigeria are requesting that one of your first actions is to find a competent and honest coach for the Super Eagles(Foreign or Local. As recent actions by Mr. Keshi proves further that Keshi needs to go for the benefit of Nigerian football. We have had enough of Keshi’s amateurish and disgraceful antics. (Even though I once supported Keshi as coach, it is now clear that he needs to go).

The goodwill and support of most of the Eagles supporters towards Keshi has expired. Anybody with half a football brain knows the problem areas in the Team. Keshi’s recent invitations outside of Raheem Lawal does nothing to address those problems. To be honest Raheem Lawal is not a true playmaker or attacking/creative midfielder. Nigeria also needs a competent striker.

3 of the players Keshi invited is a complete and total joke(with all due respect to those players). Keshi Should BE ASHAMED of Himself for making such invitations at the expense and cost of Nigeria’s public funds.

I am not going to speculate why Keshi decided not to invite players that can help solve the problem areas in the Eagles, but is clear that Keshi’s agenda is not in the interest of the Nigerian national team. Keshi recent invitation list gives the suggestion that he feels he may not get a new contract, so he wants to profit from some players while he still has the opportunity.

Keshi Thank you for winning the African cup 2013, but is time for you to go, and continue your career as a business man where ever you chose. The Super Eagles is not the right place for such activities.
