Nigeria defender Efe Ambrose was in action for Hibernian who came from a goal down to beat visiting Partick Thistle 3-1 in the opening day of the Scottish Premiership season on Saturday.
Ambrose played the full 90 minutes and was yellow carded on the stroke of half-time.
Chris Erskine took Partick Thistle 1-0 up on eight minutes but Martin Boyle equalised for Hibernian in the 15th minute.
Steven Whittaker scored in the 34th minute to give Hibernian a 2-1 lead.
And in the 52nd minute, Simon Murray converted from the penalty spot to secure the win for Hibernian.
Hibernian's next game is in the League Cup when they will entertain Ayr United on Tuesday.
Their next league game is a difficult trip to Ibrox where they will face Rangers next Saturday.
And in the English Championship which also kicked off today (Saturday), a late Nelson Oliveira goal for visiting Norwich City denied Fulham victory as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
In action for Fulham was Nigeria forward Sone Aluko who played for 90 minutes.
Fulham went 1-0 ahead following a 25th minute own goal by Norwich's Russell Martin.
But in the 88th minute, Oliveira equalised for Norwich to secure a share of the points for his team.
The draw means Fulham are ninth on one point in the 24-team Championship league table.
