D'Tigers forward Al-Farouq Aminu scored 15 points Wednesday morning as the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Denver Nuggets 122 – 113 at the Moda Center to take hold of the eighth spot in the NBA Western Conference, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Aminu who was making his 54th appearance in the NBA this season featured for 28 minutes as Terry Stotts side recorded their 35th win of the season.
It was the Blazers fourth straight win in the NBA after their defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks on the 21st of March.
The victory sees Portland lead Denver by a game for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Blazers also clinched the season-series tiebreaker with the Nuggets, giving them an upper hand with eight games to play.
The Blazers host James Harden's Houston Rockets whose four-game winning streak ended with a 106-113 defeat to The Golden State Warriors on Thursday night.
