Completesportsnigeria.com has exclusively scooped that no fewer than four top coaches have been linked to the Kano Pillars job in the aftermath of the sacking of Okey Emordi by the three-time back-to-back NPFL champions.
Emordi, a CAF Coach of the Year award winner in 2004, was relieved of his managerial duties at Kano Pillars Sunday following their 3-3 draw at Lobi Stars despite the Pyramid City side taking a 3-0 lead.
Regular checks in the club reveal that former Super Eagles assistant coach, Daniel Amokachi, is among the four coaches in the shopping list of the club as replacement for Emordi.
The others include former Flying Eagles coach, Manu Garba; Mohammed Babaganaru, who presently heads Nasarawa United coaching crew; and Belgian ex- FC IfeanyiUbah coach, Mitko Dobrev.
Completesportsnigeria.com understands that Mitko’s curriculum vitae has long been pushed to the club even before now.
It was further gathered that Kano State government is favourably disposed to Alhaji Kabiru Baita, a former sole administrator of the club, heading the incoming board.
