3SC head coach, Fatai Amoo, says their 2-0 home win against ABS in last Sunday's matchday 25 of the NPFL was as a result of the team's positive response to the pressure induced by their hitherto poor run, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Two second half goals from Ibrahim Adebayo and Sunday Faleye, returned Shooting Stars to winning ways after failing to win their previous two games.
The win also took them off the bottom of the log to 18th on 29 points.
Amoo also revealed that his team's ability to take their scoring chances contributed to the win.
"Being under pressure and also getting our rhythm in terms of goal scoring inspired us to beat ABS," Amoo told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"There is no game we have played that we have not created scoring opportunities. Comparing Sunday's game to when we played against MFM, I think we created more scoring chances against MFM than against ABS.
"My players were able to convert two of the chances they had which they failed to do in previous games."
Amoo who led Julius Berger to the final of the 2003 CAF Cup Winners' Cup where they lost 3-2 on aggregate to Tunisia's Etoile du Sahel, played down Shooting Stars' win against ABS which took them off the bottom, stating that they still have a lot of work to do to avoid relegation.
Amoo added: "We might be off the bottom in the league table, but we are not out of the relegation zone.
"We must continue to replicate the kind of performance we had against ABS in our subsequent games. We have to improve our game, not only at home, but also at away because the way the league is now, nothing is guaranteed.
"So we must continue to work hard and earn as much points as possible because of this precarious situation we found ourselves."
