National U-23 Eagles assistant coach Fatai Amoo is excited with the Flying Eagles victory over Senegal in the opening game of the 2015 African Youth Championship holding in Senegal.
The Nigerian youths defeated their opponents 3-1 on Sunday to send a warning signal to other teams in their group.
” It was a good result and I am happy that they started with victory which is good for the team and Nigeria as a country. They also need to work harder and make sure they live up to exoectation”, says Amoo
“We should continue to pray for them and also support them because it will be a good thing for us as Nigerians to see the players bringing the trophy here. They should also try as much as possible to remain focused and concentrate on how to win the trophy.
Meanwhile, the coach Manu Garba led side will play Congo on Wednesday and Amoo has advised them not to underrate the Congo less in the encounter.
“They should make sure that they did not underrate the Congolese in the match because if they are able to win, them qualifying for the World Cup would have been done.
