–Nigeria U17 team coach confident of his youngsters
Golden Eaglets handler, Emmanuel Amuneke has assured Nigerians that the U-17 national team will overturn the 2-1 deficit they suffered in Libreville during the first leg of the final qualifiers for the 2015 CAF U-17 Championship slated for Niger Republic.
Amuneke stressed that he remains optimistic his boys will deliver adding that with only 90 minutes to achieve their Niger Republic 2015 CAN U-17 ambition, the boys cannot afford to disapoint in Calabar when the Gabonese come calling this weekend.
The spirit among the players is high, everybody is doing well in training and we hope the game will go our way come Saturday”, starts Amuneke who won the 1994 Nations Cup.
“Everyone is with high hope and we are doing all what we can so when the time comes, we will show everyone what stuff we’re made of”, Amuneke added.
The former U-17 World Cup winning Golden Eaglets assistant coach stated he has intensified training with the team since returning from Gabon after the first leg and has been impressed with the response of his players.
