Anderson Expecting Hammers Improvement

Summer signing Felipe Anderson says West Ham will need time to gel but he’s sure they will improve following the defeat at Liverpool. The Hammers’ opening game of the season did not go according to plan as they were on the wrong end of a 4-0 hammering from Liverpool and Anderson himself was replaced in the second half by Andriy Yarmolenko.

The Brazilian record signing, who joined for £36m from Lazio, is not downhearted, though, and says the side will be much better than the one on show at Anfield when all the new signings have had the chance to gel together at the club.
“We knew that the match was going to be very hard as their attack is really fast and they score a lot of goals,” Anderson told whufc.com.

“We prepared for the match well, but this is a very new team and we still have a way to go to get to our best form. We have very good expectations for the season.
“This team wants to play beautiful football and, with a bit more time, all the new signings are going to adapt. The club made a big investment and now what we need to do is to work to make things go well.”
