By Adeboye Amosu: Angola head coach Srdjan Vasiljevic believes his side will come up against a top team at the African Nations Championship in the form of Nigeria in their quarter-final clash but insists they have what it takes to overpower the West Africans, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Palancas Negras will face the Home Eagles in their quarter-final clash in Tangier on Sunday.
“The quarterfinal will be very difficult because we will face one of the best teams of this tournament. Nigeria proved itself during the first round. They achieved great benefits,” Vasiljevic stated in his pre-match conference ahead of the game.
“Our players are very tired because we arrived very late here in Tangiers. Our stopover in Casablanca lasted longer than expected. We will handle this situation.
“It’s very difficult to get into a quarter-final in such a situation. The players are very motivated to qualify to the semis. They are all focused on the game. We have watched Nigeria and found the strengths and weaknesses. We will put in place a strategy to counter them.”
