Anichebe, Ideye Eye Arsenal Clash

–As West Brom welcome misfiring Gunners

The duo of Super Eagles out-of-favour forwards, Victor Anichebe and Brown Ideye would be looking to get coach Alan Irvin’s nod to play some part as West Browmwich Albion play host to an injury-ravaged Arsenal side today at the 28,003-capacity Hawthorns.

The Nigerian internationals have not had the best start to the season with Anichebe struggling with injury for some period while club record-signing Ideye is battling for form and regular team action no thanks to the goalscoring prowess of Saido Berahino who has taken the EPL by storm having recorded 7 league goals this term.

Anichebe made a cameo appearance last weekend in the 2-0 away loss to Chelsea while Ideye was an un-used substitute in the game and both compatriots will again be available for selection against a Gunners side that will be desperate to earn back some bragging rights after falling 1-2 at home to rivals Manchester United last weekend.

This game therefore promises to be a keenly contested battle between the two sides currently seperated by 4 points with Arsenal on the upper part of the league table in the 8th place with 17 points while West Brom are playing catch-up in the 13th place with 13 points.
