Nigeria forward, Victor Anichebe, is in line to make his first Premier League start of the season for West Bromwich Albion against Sunderland at the Hawthorns on Saturday, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
The hitman has struggled to pin down a regular spot with the Baggies since the start of the campaign with Saido Berahino, Salomon Rondon and Rickie Lambert ahead of him in the pecking order.
But injury to Berahino, who has a niggling back problem that has hampered his training programme during the international break, and concerns over the fitness of Rondon, who did not arrive back to the UK until late this week after featuring in two matches in South America with Venezuela, could see Albion boss Tony Pulis hand Anichebe a starting place.
The former Everton striker has started only one game for West Brom this season, against Norwich City in the Capital One Cup where he was deployed in an unfamiliar holding midfield role.
Albion will be looking to record their first home victory of the league campaign.
