Cardiff star Gareth Anscombe says they can take plenty of heart from their late win against the Dragons, when they face Scarlets. The Blues made it nine consecutive Guinness PRO14 wins over the Dragons, mainly thanks to Anscombe, who kept his nerve to seal the points with the last kick of the game.
Anscombe was relieved to secure the points and is now looking ahead to the clash with Scarlets. “It’s a little bit frustrating that we needed that to win and we won’t look back on this game with many fond memories but it’s four points, we needed that and we’ll take it and move on,” he said.

“We will head out west with some points to prove and build on this. No one will be expecting us to go there and get a result. “The main thing is we can enjoy the weekend after a pretty tough couple of weeks. We can enjoy Christmas with our families and then come next week we’ll go out there and give it a good lick.
“We don’t have much to lose and are certainly capable of going there and getting a result. We need to believe that. We’ll enjoy Christmas, come back in later in the week and pick things up with a bit of confidence.”
