West Ham United winger Michail Antonio insists the international break came at the perfect time for his side. The Hammers have lost their first four games of the Premier League campaign but their squad has since split up for international duty.
Those that were left behind have been working hard in training for the last two weeks and the players are itching to get their first points of the season.
Vice-chairman Karren Bady has thrown her support behind boss Manuel Pellegrini this week and Antonio insists the squad are ready to silence their critics.
“International breaks can sometimes be a blessing and sometimes be a curse and right now, I’d say it’s a blessing because it’s given ourselves a chance to clear our minds after the first part of the season,” Antonio told the club’s website.
“It’s given us an opportunity to do some good work and get ready to make a fresh start… we’ve been working on shape and tactical stuff and tying things down.
“We’ve signed nine new players and it takes time to gel as you can see in the games, where we’re passing balls where we think people should be and getting things a bit muddled up.
“We need to learn more about each other and I do see it coming good.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
