Nigerian midfielder Afeez Aremu has departed the shores of the country aboard an Africa World Airlines on Tuesday to join up with his new team IK Start for their pre-season campaign in Norway en-route Ghana Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
Aremu signed a two-year deal with the newly promoted Norwegian club IK Start in December despite agreeing to a short-term deal with the Ghanaian outfit Inter Allies FC in December.
Both clubs have an existing agreement that involves their players being transfered to the Norwegian club from the Ghanaian club.
The 18-year-old is expected to arrive in Norway on Thursday for the start of IK Start’s pre-season campaign.
“I’m happy leaving to start my career in Norway and I hope to play regularly to improve on my game like other big Nigerian players who used Norway as a spring board to their success,” an excited Aremu told Completesportsnigeria.com shortly after his departure on Tuesday.
