Alphonse Areola says he can achieve everything he wants at PSG after signing a new deal at the club until 2023. The Ligue 1 champions have announced the goalkeeper has penned a new contract that ties him to the Parc des Princes for another four years.
Areola has been used in rotation by boss Thomas Tuchel this season alongside veteran Gianluigi Buffon but he is expected to be the outright first choice moving forward and has started nine Ligue 1 matches this term, compared to the Italian legend’s seven.
The 25-year-old had no hesitation signing a new deal and is delighted his association with his boyhood club is to continue for the long term, as he chases more silverware. “It was very important for me to continue my career and my progress at Paris Saint-Germain,” Areola told PSG’s website.
