Argentina coach, Jorge Sampaoli, has been handed a major boost with AC Milan midfielder, Lucas Biglia set for a return to action for the club in Wednesday’s Copa Italia final clash against Juventus.
Biglia’s chances of appearing at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia had looked to be in jeopardy after he suffered a slight lumbar fracture in his back in a league game against Benevento on April 12th.
He was initially ruled out of action for six weeks but joined his colleagues in training on Monday ahead of the Cup final.
“#Milan #Biglia trains with the team
Recovered for the final of Copa Italia,” reads a tweet on Sky Sport Italia Twitter handle on Monday.
Sampaoli is now expected to include the midfielder in his preliminary squad for the World Cup later this month.
The Albiceleste will play in Group D along with Nigeria, debutants Iceland and Croatia in Russia.
