Argentina have been handed a big boost ahead of their make-or-mar Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup Group D clash against Nigeria on Tuesday at the Krestovsky Stadium with the return to training of the trio of Nicolas Otamendi, Gabriel Mercado and Lucas Biglia, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The trio sat out training on Saturday at the team’s training base in Bronnisty with doubts on their availability for the game against the Super Eagles.
They have however recovered from their physical discomforts and trained normally with their teammates on Sunday morning, according to a reportin Tyc Sports.com.
Otamendi and Mercado featured in Argentina’s first two games in Russia against Iceland and Croatia, while Biglia was on the bench in the last game.
La Albiceleste have picked just one point from their opening two games and occupy last position in the group.
They will need to beat the Super Eagles and hope Iceland do not better their result against Croatia to advance into the second round.
