Argentina coach, Alejendro Sabella has been guarding the secret formula which he will employ to dislodge Bosnia-Herzegovina in their tonight’s Group F World Cup opener at Maracanã Stadium.
In a press conference he attended yesterday with Sergio Romero, Sabella mentioned that he hasd not decided on what is the finalized team that will face Bosnia.
“The team for the match against Bosnia is still not yet being decided,” Sabelle insisted yesterday.
“Since we started the previous training, we had a number of problems with some players. Now, except for Rodrigo Palacio, are all available. We will continue to evaluate who is at better condition at the last minute”
He also stated that everyone in the camp will give their very best to achieve the targeted goal and feel gratitude for all the recognition. He stated that everyone in the team has a responsibility towards the shirt and the support of the people.
On what could be his approach for the match against Bosnia (the latest rumors has it he might opt for a 5-3-2 formation).
“You cannot attack well not defend well. And you cannot defend well without attacking well. There must be a balance between both.”
On Lionel Messi, he says that it is important to create an environment which will allow Messi to be comfortable and provide 100% for the team. He has also made it clear that Argentina is not the favorite and that he doesn’t like the tag.
“I think Bosnia has a creative team with some good technical players. They have players who could win aerial battle and have had good results lately. Football is a very even game and difficult to predict”.
Sergio ROMERO has stated that, “It me gives me great joy for being in the World Cup. We’re hoping to get a good result in the first game. The support that people give us is very important for us. We have grown a lot in the last three years and we will try to meet expectations. Playing at the Maracanã Stadium with so much history, it’s amazing.”
With all that said, it’s all about waiting for that very moment when the referee blows the kick off sound.
