Arnautovic Fit To Face Seagulls

Striker Marko Arnautovic is fit for West Ham’s Premier League trip to Brighton, despite suffering with an ongoing knee problem.

The Austria international, who has scored four goals in his six Premier League matches this season, returned from a two-match absence to score in last weekend’s 3-1 win against Manchester United.

And, while Arnautovic’s knee is still giving him some issues, it is not bad enough to sideline him for the game at the Amex Stadium.

Javier Hernandez is back in full training following a bout of glandular fever, but the game will probably come too soon for the Mexican forward, while Andriy Yarmolenko is set to undergo a fitness test after picking up a knock against United last Saturday.

If he is fit, then boss Manuel Pellegrini is likely to stick with an unchanged line-up against the Seagulls with Carlos Sanchez, Jack Wilshere, Andy Carroll, Manuel Lanzini and Winston Reid all still absent

The Hammers have recovered from losing their opening four games to secure wins against Everton and United with a goalless draw against Chelsea sandwiched in between.

However, Pellegrini has warned his players that they need to maintain the focus which has helped them pick up seven points from a possible nine in those three outings.

The Chilean said: “We are improving. But we must be careful and keep improving because every game in the Premier League is very difficult.

“When results were not good, I never felt any protest from the fans. They trusted in what we were doing and I always trusted in my work and knew we were going to play well.

“The best change we did was to keep things the same.”
