Arsenal scouted Legia Warsaw goalkeeper Radoslaw Majecki on Thursday as they close in on a deal for the Polish Under-20 international. The Gunners sent a scout to watch the 19-year-old in action for Legia against Zaglebie Sosnowiec as the Warsaw club came from two goals down to win 3-2 and return to the top of the Polish Ekstraklasa.

Reports in Poland earlier this week claimed Arsenal were ready to make a move for Majecki after an extended period of assessment that saw Arsenal goalkeeping coaches take in a Poland Under-20 match.
Arsenal are on the lookout for a younger goalkeeper to add to their squad and will reportedly loan Majecki back to Legia, where he recently established himself as the number one choice between the posts, for the rest of the season.
He could then join Unai Emery’s first-team squad next summer when Petr Cech could be moving on.
The 37-year-old, who lost his grip on a first-team spot to Bernd Leno in September, will see his current contract expire in June.
