Arsenal fans have hailed Alex Iwobi’s performance in Saturday’s 0-0 draw against Hull City at the Emirates.
Nigerian youngster Iwobi was in the starting line-up before making way for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on 73 minutes.
Despite the frustrating draw which will see Arsenal and Hull engage in a replay, some of the fans took to Twitter to praise the 19-year-old Super Eagles forward.
Mateusz @afc_Mat, compared Iwobi to Manchester United’s Memphis Depay.
“Iwobi, elite baller, better than Memphis for sure,” he wrote.
Arsenal Guvnor @ArsenalGuvnor sees a bright future for Iwobi: “Iwobi looks a real prospect.”
On his part, Bradley Powell @Powelly16_AFC, admired Iwobi’s brains: “Iwobi is really really good. So intelligent.”
Rob Jones @RSENAL1981, picked Iwobi and Mohamed Elneny as the outstanding players in the game against Hull.
He wrote: “Two positives… Iwobi was very good and think Elneny would be a decent player to Coquelin in the middle… And in the hat.”
For Abhilash @AbhilashSanyal: “Frustrations aside, was really impressed with the performances of Iwobi and Chambers. Fantastic talents.”
Musty @Musty_AFC, tweeted: Iwobi is actually so football smart at 19.”
Arsenal News Hound @ArsenalFNH wrote: “Alex Iwobi the silver lining for Arsenal on a day of disappointment.”
And for Stefan @Stefan_AFC, and Arsene Cross @don_cross_AFC, they respectively expressed disappointment that Iwobi was replaced.
“Taking off Iwobi instead of Flamini was the mistake for me. Iwobi was our most composed player in possession.”
“Shouldn’t have taken Iwobi off.”
