Arsenal have been handed a major boost ahead of their London derby clash against Chelsea this weekend with the news that Jack Wilshere WILL return from injury for the Premier League match.
The midfielder injured his ankle during his team’s 1-1 home draw against north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
After undergoing medical tests on Monday, Arsene Wenger has been told that Wilshere should be fit in time to be named in Arsenal’s starting line-up against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
However, the 22-year-old remains a doubt to play a role in The Gunners’ Champions League game against Galatasaray on Wednesday.
Wenger is expected to confirm on Tuesday that Aaron Ramsey – who came off during the clash against Spurs with a hamstring injury – will be out of action for at least a month while Mikel Arteta’s calf problem is likely to keep him sidelined for three weeks.
