Hosts Nigeria won two medals on day-four of the 21st African Senior Athletics Championships in Asaba to increase her medal to 14, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Nwanaga Kelechi won gold medal in the women’s javelin final with a throw of 56.96m.
The silver and bronze medals went to Jo- Ane Van Dyk and Josephine LaLaw of South Africa and Uganda respectively.
In the men’s 110m hurdles final, Abejoye Oyeniyi came second behind South Africa’s Antonio Alkana with a time of 13.87s.
Alkana won the race with a time of 13.87s, while Wellington Zaza of Liberia came third with a time of 13.88.
