–Constantini submits application letter to the NFF
By Sab Osuji:
Austrian coach, Dietmar ‘Didi’ Costantini has joined the list of coaches seeking to replace Stephen Keshi as Super Eagles manager.
Constantini, 59, handed in his application letter to the Nigeria Football Association in Abuja last week.
The papers which also highlighted Constantini’s working experience among others, was addressed to the Technical Committee of the NFF.
Didi, as he is fondly called, stepped down as Austria national team Manager in 2011.
He now joins the likes of Samson Siasia in seeking for the top coaching job of the Super Eagles.
Super Eagles coaching job became vacant after the World Cup in Brazil when Keshi’s three-year tenure expired.
Though he’s currently at the saddle of the African champions, Nigeria football authorities are yet to come out clear as to what becomes of his fate in the face of Super Eagles dismal outing in the 2015 AFCON qualifiers, especially after the team shockingly lost to Sudan last Saturday to further blight Nigeria’s chances of defending it’s African crown in Morocco next year.
