The League Management Company, LMC, organisers of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, arrived in Enugu on Thursday ahead of Sunday's final match-day 38 clash between home side and potential winners, Enugu Rangers and El-Kanemi Warriors, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Meanwhile, former players of Enugu Rangers under the umbrella of Ex-Rangers International Players Association will be on hand Sunday to witness the dawn of a new era as the pride of the Igbos gun for a first trophy in 32 years, Completesportsnigeria.com
On hand to lead the old stars out in solidarity with the new generation of glory hunters include longest time captain, Christian Chukwu, Dr Johnny Egbonu and Nwabueze Nwankwo.
"Chukwu is the Coordinator of the three-man caretaker committee of our association " Nnaama Ezenwata, a member of the association toldCompletesportsnigeria.com.
"They will be at the head of our association members to the stadium on Sunday.
"This was part of a resolution reached during our meeting on Tuesday.
"I was not present at the meeting and as a result do not know other details.
"But personally, I will be at the stadium. It is an ocassion not worth missing, no matter what.
"These players have done well, not only for themselves and the club, but also for the entire Eastern Nigeria", Ezenwa told Completesportsnigeria.com.
