Nigeria’s senior women national team, the Super Falcons have been grouped along with hosts Namibia, Zambia (debutants) and Cote d’ Ivoire in Group A of the 2014 African Women Championship.
The draw was held Saturday evening, and the six-time African champions will be gunning for another triumph as African queens. The draw also saw South Africa, Cameroon, Algeria and Ghana housed in Group B.
The African Women Championship holds between 11-25 October 2014.
The Falcons are able to participate in the Championship after FIFA lifted the temporary ban placed on Nigeria barring the country from international football.
