Kenya senior women's national team Head Coach, David Ouma, has expressed confidence that his team has what it takes to compete against their Group B foes; Super Falcons of Nigeria, Ghana and Mali at the 2016 Africa Women's Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Ouma made the submission after Kenya narrowly lost 1-0 to Cameroon in an international friendly game on Saturday at the Kasarani Stadium, in Nairobi.
Kenya used the match to prepare for the 10th edition of the Women’s AFCON which kicks off on November 19 in Cameroon.
The only goal of the game was scored by Christine Manie from the penalty spot.
Despite the defeat, Ouma stated that his players picked a lot of positives from the match, and also gave them a picture of what to expect during the tournament in Cameroon.
“We had very good scoring chances and we only conceded to Cameroon through a penalty," Ouma told cafonline.
"I think all along we wanted to play against a West African side before the Women’s AFCON because it will give us what to expect and from what we have seen, I am quite optimistic we can compete with our opponents very well,” Ouma said.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
