While the Super Eagles are sweating it out for the World Cup in the United States, dropped Ikechukwu Uche is also there – taking a break off the game in the beaches of Miami.
The 30-year-old Uche was sensationally left out of Nigeria provisional squad for the World Cup with coach Stephen Keshi insisting he is not tactically disciplined when playing for the Eagles.
A top confidant of the Villarreal striker informed AfricanFootball.com: “IK is on holidays in Miami.
He has put behind him his exclusion from the World Cup and he is now looking forward to the next season.
“He would have loved to be at the World Cup, but since he was not picked, there was nothing he could have done.”
The confidant added: “The player is very much at peace with himself after he talked with Keshi over his exclusion from the World Cup.
“At least, he was able to put the records straight that he never had any problems with the coach.
“What was very clear was that he was not in Keshi’s plans.”
