–Eagles midfielder still hopeful of second round berth
Almeria of Spain midfielder Ramon Azeez has debunked his club’s official website report that he was replaced in Monday’s goalless draw against Iran on Monday due to the cramps he suffered.
Almeria reported on their official website udalmeriasad.com that the 21 year old player was suffering from cramp before he joined up with his international teammates for the Mundial.
But the former Future Pro play-maker has told Complete Sports exclusively that his decision to be substituted was down to the coach’s decision and not that he was injured.
“I don’t know where they got their reports from but I’m not suffering from cramps,” he said.
He however added that he is hopeful that the Eagles will be better in Saturday’s must win game against Bosnia at the Arena Pantanal in Cuiaba.
“We know what’s at stake and we will make amends on Saturday,” he added.
