Azeez: Eagles Defeat Painful But We Can Still Qualify

Nigerian international Ramon Azeez is confident the Super Eagles can still qualify for the next round despite suffering a painful 2-0 defeat in their opening group game against Croatia at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Azeez who featured for Nigeria at the 2014 edition in Brazil tasked the team to put behind their setback and work on their mistakes.
“It was painful to watch them lose but if they can correct those mistakes,” the Lugo midfielder told CSN.
“Iceland will be tough but they are beatable. We are down but not out.”
Nigeria will face Iceland in their second game which is a must win.
The Super Eagles are bottom of group D with no point after their loss to Croatia. The Vatreni lead the table with three points while Argentina and Iceland are joint second in the group.

Africa will never learn all these white coaches only interested in upgrading their CV in world cup.
As thing stand Africa team cannot carry world cup in next 20 years until we stop changing team like rappers, how can a nation keep changing player & coaches using diffrent players in every tournament, the Spanish & German team are almost the same that went to Brazil 4 years ago.
Africa need football tradition and heritage, we can’t play 4-3-3 today 5-3-2 tomorrow, 4-2-3-1 next tomorrow & 3-5-1-1 & expect result never, let just specialize on one or two formations.Successful European team like Germany,Spain,Italy etc has a tradition even samba boys of Brazil etc.NFF need to ban foreign coaches for life let use ours so the tradition can be cement, Spain changed their coach 2 days to W/C and nothing happen because there has tradition. God bless Nigeria

  • How will we ban foreign coaches as the only thing we Sabi do is to say our local coach take bribe, eh.
