Chairman Taraba Football Club, Tijani Babangida has urged Super Eagles Coach Stephen Keshi
to caution his players not to underrate Iran, their opponent in tomorrow’s Group F tie.
The three times African Champions take on Asian Champions Iran in their opening fixture at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil and the former Super Eagles star opined that coach Carlos Quireoz men would be a tough opponent for the Eagles.
Babaginda stressed that the coaching staff should select the best legs for the game if they want to come out victorious.
“Coach Stephen Keshi should caution his players not to underrate the Iranians in their opening group game at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil,’’ the former Ajax Amsterdam of Holland star begins.
“Coach Carlos Quireoz men would be a tough nut to crack for the Super Eagles if we don’t take them serious.
“The coaching staff should select the best legs for the game, if we want to come out victorious in the game.
“With the right approach from the coaches and the right attitude from the players, we are
destined for victory.” he assured.
