Former Super Eagles winger, Tijani Babangida has praised the U-23 Eagles for their impressive showing against Algeria in the final of the Africa U-23 Nations Cup even as he called for the injection of fresh legs in the team ahead of Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
The Eagles defeated the North Africans 2-1 in the final of the competition with Warri Wolves forward, Oghenekaro Etebo grabbing a brace in the game.
And Babangida was impressed with the side's display in the game which according to him was their best in the competition.
"The players fought really well to win the game," Babangida told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"It was by far their best performance in the competition and I want to congratulate them for doing the nation proud.
"I also think it is important we bring in few more quality players into the team to make it more stronger at the Olympics.
