Babatunde Dedicates Moroccan League MVP Award To Late Keshi

By Johnny Edward:

Super Eagles attacking midfielder Michael Babatunde has been voted the best player in Morroco following a fruitful four months spell with Raja Casablanca in the Brotola league, Completesportsnigeria.com report.

The 22 year old who scored four goals and provided 11 assists in 14 games for the club dedicated his award to the late former Nigeria captain and coach, Stephen Keshi, who passed on Wednesday after suffering from cardiac arrest.

Babatunde who recently made a mouthwatering move to Qatari side SC Qatar told Completesportsnigeria.com exclusively from Morocco that the former Eagles coach was one standout individual who gave him a chance to shine and never stopped believing in him.

"I'm having mixed feelings right now and it's heartbreaking for me because Keshi was more than  just a coach to me," Babatunde toldCompletesportsnigeria.com from Morocco.

"I won this award hours before his death and I'm dedicating it to him for all he did for me.

"He handed me my debut for the senior national team and inspired me to shine at the 2014 World Cup and ever since Keshi had always kept me on my toes to do more.

"He gave most young players the belief to play in the Super Eagles.

"My steady rise is down to most of his advice on how well I can be better off the pitch. He remains my hero."
