Volyn winger Babatunde Michael is optimistic that the below-par showing of the Super Eagles in their recent friendlies will be a source of motivation for the team when they touch down in Brazil for the World Cup.
The Eagles failed to win any of their pre-World cup games, losing their last game to US, but the former Kryvbas winger says Nigerians should be patient with the team.
The former U-23 international also added that he hopes to also justify his inclusion In the final squad to the Mundial.
“We will bounce back stronger in Brazil,” he began.
“I never thought I would be where I am now. I hope to prove myself with this great opportunity.”
Nigeria will begin their quest for a place in the second round when they face Iran next Monday before Bosnia and Argentina.
