–Balogun gains promotion with SV Darmstadt 98; Aluko, Azeez relegated
Osaze Odemwingie (Stoke City): Stoke forward, Osaze Odemwingie came on in the 67thminute for Stoke City who massacred Liverpool 6-1 in Steven Gerrard's final game for the Reds at the Britannia stadium. The Nigerian international came on for Jonathan Walters in his fifth consecutive appearance as a substitute since returning from injury.

Sone Aluko (Hull City):  Nigeria International, Sone Aluko was on parade for Hull City on Sunday afternoon as they kissed the English Premier League goodbye after playing a 0-0 draw with Manchester City. Aluko has scored once in 24 EPL games so far.

Brown Ideye, Victor Anichebe (West Brom):  Nigerian forward, Victor Anichebe came on for Jonas Ollson in the 51st minute as West Brom was demolished 4-1 by Arsenal at the Emirates stadium. It was Anichebe’s 21st appearance in the out-going season while Ideye who was benched for the entire duration of the encounter has scored four goals in 24 EPL games.

Leon Balogun (SV Darmstadt 98):  Leon Balogun’s SV Darmstadt 98 have secured a return to the Bundesliga, 34 years after they were relegated. SV Darmstadt defeated St Pauli by a lone goal to seal one of the two automatic spots. Balogun who played 22 times for Darmstadt scored four times from his defensive position. They finished on 59 points, five points adrift winner, Ingolstadt, on 64.

Vincent Enyeama (Lille): Super Eagles skipper, Vincent Enyeama conceded one goal in 90 minutes in action for Lille who defeated Metz 4-1 on Saturday at the Stade Saint Symphorien. Enyeama has now conceded 42 goals in 38 appearances in the Ligue 1 and has however kept 14 clean sheets.

Elderson Echiejile (AS Monaco): Nigerian defender, Elderson Echiejile was an unused substitute in Monaco’s 1-0 win over Lorient to secure third place and a return to the Champions League next season. Echiejile  has played 13 Ligue 1 games and scored once.

Imoh Ezekiel (Standard Liege): Nigerian striker, Imoh Ezekiel scored on 26th minutes as Standard Liege defeated Sporting Charleroi 2-0. Ezekiel who has appeared 14 times this season, has found the back of the net seven times.

Nwankwo Obiora (Academica): Nigerian midfielder, Nwankwo Obiora was an unused substitute as Academica lost 4-2 at home to Vitoria Guimaraes. Obiora has seen action 27 times this season.

Simeon Nwankwo (Gil Vicente): Nigerian attacker, Simeon Nwankwo was a 61st minute entrant for Joao Vilela as Gil Vicente lost 2-0 at home to Belenenses. The game was Nwankwo's 30th, and he has scored nine goals so far.

Sunday Abalo (Rio Ave): Nigerian midfielder, Sunday Abalo was introduced for Diego Lopes in the 86th minute but couldn't prevent his team from losing 1-0 at home to Sporting Lisbon, Abalo has featured seven times this term for Rio Ave.

Rabiu Ibrahim, Kingsley Madu, Emmanuel Edmond (Trencin): Former junior international, Rabiu Ibrahim was brought on for Ryan Koolwijk in the 73rd minute as Trencin lost  1-0  at  home  to Zilina. Ibrahim has scored four goals in 17 appearances this term. His Nigerian team-mate, Kingsley Madu was withdrawn for Ramos on 56   minutes while Emmanuel Edmond was listed for the match.

Michael Babatunde (Volyn); Sherif Isa (Olimpik Donetsk): Super Eagles winger Michael Babatunde scored his second league goal of the season for Volyn who defeated Sherif Isa’s Olimpik Donetsk 3-1 on Saturday. The Nigerian also provided two assists for Eric Cosmin Bicfalvi opener in the 23rd minute and Aleksandr Kobakhidze's in the 74th minute. It was Babatunde's 12th start this season. His compatriot Sherif Isa played for 68 minutes before he was replaced by Aleksandr Sytnyk. Isa has played 21 games and scored twice.

Lukman Haruna (Horvela): Nigerian midfielder, Haruna Lukman played for 84 minutes in Hoverla’s goalless draw away at Metalurh Donetsk. It was his fifth appearance for the club.

Ramon Azeez (Almeria): Nigerian international Ramon Azeez watched from the substitutes bench as Valencia twice came from behind to win 3-2 to condemn Almeria to relegation and secure fourth place to claim the final Champions League spot in Spain. The Nigerian featured in 14 games this season.
