Super Eagles midfielder Michael Babatunde has admitted there are concerns his move to Qatari could damage his hopes of keeping his place in Nigeria's squad, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
But the 23-year-old who only joined three-time African champions Raja Casablanca in January from Ukraine's Dnipro believes he can be part of the new revolution in the Super Eagles despite what many do not regard as progress.
"I have to be honest, I did think about the chances of the Eagles before I made the Qatar SC move. But I know I'm good enough to play for the team. It is always important to play well for your club," Babatunde told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"In life when a massive opportunity comes your way, sometimes it is not easy to turn it down."
Babatunde is set to join the relegated Doha-based side next month and will earn $2.9 million over the next three years, Completesportsnigeria.
He joined Raja in January from the 2015 Europa League runners-up Dnipro and scored four goals and made 13 assists in 14 appearances.
