Nigeria winger Michael Babatunde has rejoined his club one month after undergoing a meniscus surgery on his left knee.
The 21-year old Volyn star who returned from Germany at the weekend where he went for a final check up on his knee believes his injury worries are over and 2015 will be a fruitful year for him.
“I’ve rejoined my teammates for training but I won’t play until February when I would have regained my full fitness,” he began.
He admitted that he was unlucky to have suffered a knee ligament injury three months after he fractured his wrist while in action for the Super Eagles against Argentina at the World Cup in Brazil.
“I was just unlucky with the injuries I sustained recently but I’m happy now that they are all over,” he told Complete Sports.
“Before the start of the new year, I will be super fit for the second round of the season.”
He also rued the Super Eagles failure to qualify for the 2015 Nations Cup.
“We will be back stronger in the coming year. It is rather unfortunate we lost out on our title defence.” he concluded.
