Babatunde Signs Three-Year Deal With Wydad Casablanca

By Johnny Edward:

Nigeria international, Michael Babatunde, has signed a three year deal with current holders of the CAF African Champions League this title, Wydad Casablanca, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Babatunde who severed ties with Qatar SC after helping them gain promotion to the elite division last season, signed a deal worth $1.5m, with Wydad Casablanca, CSN gathered from a reliable source.

The 2014 World Cup star becomes the first player in the history of Moroccan football to play for two rival clubs, Raja Casablanca and Wydad Casablanca.

“I am happy to be back in Morocco and I want to help defend their titles,” Babatunde told CSN shortly after his unveiling in Casablanca on Friday.

Babatunde previously played for Volyn Lutsk and Dnipro both in Ukraine.

Cj, that guy was our best player in the last World Cup.naija factor is having Iheanacho a player that has not improved since 2013, Iwobi, a player with no sense of direction on the field.Agbo, Agu, Ogu,Ezenwa, these are Naija factors.

    • Iwobi with sense of no direction? please bro try to criticize logically

  • Sunnybrook,
Pls don’t start, if Babatunde was our best player, then where do you place Mikel Obi, Ahmed Musa, Osaze, even Emenike?

Where was he playing before the world cup in Brazil?
Was he better than Ike Uche, Brown Ideye, or Sunday Mba?

It was typical naira factor that brought Azeez, Sola Ameobi, Gabriel Ruben, Uchebo,
ahead of these other 3 players mentioned above.
FOR your information he did not even play against Mexico in Atlanta.
After the world cup in 2014, Ideye sold for £10M to Westbrom , even though he fumbled in England. But he was the only SE player on the transfer market that summer.
The world cup is for the best and Babatunde was not one of our best before the world cup.
