Ivorian international Bailly scored in the 45th minute as he latched onto the ball at the goal line after Paul Pogba’s thumping header.

It was Bailly’s first ever club goal as a professional footballer.

Nigerian-born England U-21s striker Tammy Abraham was presented with a chance to restore parity at the hour mark but his header went agonisingly wide.

Lukaku made it 2-0 with 10 minutes left on the clock for his third Manchester United goal, while Pogba sliced home the ball a minute later. The France international started the move which led to the goal from the halfway line.

Martial who came off the bench in the second half scored the fourth goal in the 84th minute

United won last season’s corresponding fixture between the clubs with Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (brace) scoring.
