Super Eagles and Darmstadt 98 of Germany defender, Leon Balogun, has revealed that the main focus for his club is to remain in the 2nd tier of German football.
The German born Nigerian defender joined the Die Lilien after they got promoted to the division from Fortuna Dusseldorf in Germany.
”The team just got promoted to the second league and so far we’ve been doing very well. The club’s target is to establish ourselves in this division,” he begins.
Balogun, who missed out on a place in the Super Eagles final cut of 23 to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil after picking up an injury in a friendly against Mexico, stressed that he’d be happy to stay fit and gather enough play time for his club.
“My personal goal is just to stay healthy and make as many games as possible as we go along,” Balogun said.
