Mainz defender Leon Balogun, Hapoel Be'er Sheva midfielder John Ogu, Monaco defender Elderson Echiejile and Watford striker Odion Ighalo all have expressed confidence that Nigeria's Super Eagles have what it takes to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup despite being drawn in a very tough group.

The Eagles will have to finish top of African Group B over Cameroon, Algeria and Zambia to qualify for the Russia 2018 World Cup.

Balogun however admitted that it would be difficult.

"Far from easy, but it's the hard road that leads to success. Let's take this opportunity and earn our spot," Balogun wrote on his Twitter handle.

Nigeria, Cameroon and Algeria represented Africa at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, while Zambia have never qualified.

Ogu on his part is banking on hardwork and the needed desire from the players to see the Super Eagles clinch the group's sole ticket.

"Top football Nations but with hard work and fight, we can come out strong." he tweeted.

Also Elderson Echiejile and Odion Ighalo remained confident despite the tough draw.

Echiejile left a short note beneath the picture of the draw saying "Yes, we can."
While Ighalo who will face two of his club teammates in Adlene Guedioura from Algeria and Allan Nyom from Cameroon wrote: "Impossible is nothing."
