Balogun Relishes Russia 2018 ‘Big Challenge’ After Draw

Mainz 05 defender Leon Balogun feels that the Super Eagles’ draw at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia is a big challenge for the team, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The three-time African champions have been drawn against Croatia, Iceland and Argentina in Group D.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will begin their 2018 World Cup campaign against Croatia on the 16th of June at the Kaliningrad Stadium before taking on Iceland at the Volgograd Arena six days later.

Their final group game will be against Argentina on the 26th of June at the Saint Petersburg Stadium. The Super Eagles have never defeated the la Albiceleste in their last four meetings at the FIFA World Cup.

    I pray Balogun will even make the world cup. I will not be surprised if he doesnt because the frequency of his injuries are now beginning to get annoying. He can hardly play 3 games in a row for Nigeria without getting injured. I pray he will make it to Russia sha because we really really need him in that team.
