Crystal Palace forward Francis Jno Baptiste has emerged as a transfer target for Swedish outfit Ostersunds FK.
The 19-year-old has been making his way through Palace’s youth ranks and he played an integral role in helping the Under-18’s win the Professional Development League southern division last season, bagging an impressive 15 goals.
Baptiste has now been promoted to the U23 side but he could be set for a new challenge when the transfer window opens in January, with Swedish outfit Ostersunds said to be interested in a deal.
Previously managed by Graham Potter, OFK are looking to strengthen in the new year and manager Ian Burchnall has set his sights on bringing in the forward on a temporary deal until the end of the campaign.
“He is one of many names we are currently working on,” he is quoted as saying by Ostersund Posten. “We work hard with several different options. But it takes time.”
