Lobi Stars new boy, Abdulrahman Bashir, has revealed that the lure of first team football made him link up with the Makurdi-based outfit.
The talented forward recently made the switch from Enyimba to Lobi after finding it difficult to earn a starting place in the coach Kadiri Ikhana-handled side.
Bashir told complesportsnigeria.com that he was frustrated by the lack of opportunities to express himself on the pitch with the likes of Mfom Udoh, Andrew Abalogu and Raphael Boumsong ahead of him in the pecking order, hence the move to the Pride of Benue.
''It was difficult staying on the bench without playing at Enyimba," the former ABS star said. "I actually thought I could contribute on the pitch but the coach there did not give me the chance to prove myself.
''I'm happy to have joined Lobi Stars where I believe I can contribute more to the team.''
