Bayern Defender Wants To Stay

Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng is looking to hold clear the air talks with the club after failing to get a move away in the summer. Manchester United headed a long list of clubs who were interested in taking the defender in the summer after both chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and president Uli Hoeness admitted he was available if anyone met the asking price of 50m euros.

French giants PSG were also linked but the asking price put everyone off and now Boating wants to talk with officials at the club and clear the air.

“I think we should talk again in the near future – that’s what we have set out to do – it’s important for me to make it clear once again that I’m fully focused on FC Bayern,” Boateng told the Munich-based newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung.

“And on the other hand, I don’t think it’s nice when things are said about me everywhere and then you do not get any public support from the club.”
