Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign exciting prospect Dele Alli, according to The Daily Telegraph.
The attacking midfielder – who has been a target for the English Premier League quartet of Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal – has a release clause in his new contract that ties him at Milton Keynes Dons until the summer of 2017.
The Anglo Nigerian continued to keep tongues wagging with a hat-trick show for the Dons in a League One game against Crewe Alexandra on Saturday 20 September 2014.
Alli was born in Milton Keynes and has come through the club’s academy, which he joined aged 11.
He had already made his debut by the time he was 16 – his first ever touch in professional football an audacious back-heel in an FA Cup match against Cambridge – and scored in his second game, a 35-yard screamer.
He is in the England Under-19 squad, where he was one of the stand-out performers in their recent draw with Germany.
Alli is a very quick and a very skilful attacking threat. He is shaped in the mould of a Steven Gerard, whom he calls his role model. His potential to be a great player is very high.
The quick lad has netted six goals in his first ten games in the current campaign.
