German champions Bayern Munich confirmed the sacking of manager Carlo Ancelotti.
The Italian, who joined the club last season and led them to the Bundesliga title, has struggled this season.
“Following an internal analysis in Munich on Thursday 28 September 2017, FC Bayern München have announced the club is to part company with head coach Carlo Ancelotti with immediate effect,”
the club announced on their official website on Thursday.
“Assistant coach Willy Sagnol will take charge of the team on an interim basis.”
Bayern are not only struggling in the league, where they are currently third behind Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim, they also lost 3-0 to to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday.
